John Mills Electric Completes Project on Large Manufacturing Facility in Bath, NY Elmira-based Company Contracted for Electrical Project at new LP Building Solutions 75 Acre Complex
ELMIRA HEIGHTS, NEW YORK – August 10, 2023 – John Mills Electric, a full-service electrical contracting company, headquartered in Elmira Heights, New York announced today that it has completed the electrical infrastructure installation work for the new LP Building Solutions LP® SmartSide ® ExpertFinish® Trim & Siding manufacturing facility in Bath, New York that is set to open later this year.
The electrical scope of this comprehensive infrastructure project included the installation of a complete fiber and data system, installation of a 3,000-amp power distribution system, the installation of a state-of-the-art security and monitoring system, and the installation of 6,000 linear feet of cable tray. Additionally, John Mills Electric worked closely with the LP machine manufacturers to construct and interconnect the facility’s assembly line, as well as test and debug the completed system.

LP Building Solutions broke ground on this facility in early July, 2022, and they expect the facility to bring up to 60 new jobs to the Bath, NY area.
