Electric vehicles are becoming more and more popular given the high price of fossil fuels and the ever growing interests in reducing our carbon footprint. John Mills Electric, along with our subsidiary Twin Tier Solar is prepared to support the market migration to electric vehicles by helping build-out the EV Charging Infrastructure for the Southern Tier, Central New York and Northern Pennsylvania.

We are a Tesla-approved charging equipment installer. This means that our Tesla charger installers have been trained to install Tesla charging equipment and adhere to the strict quality, permitting and inspection requirements specified by Tesla.

Additionally, we are ChargePoint-certified installers and we can offer several different charger brands and types to fit practically any electric vehicle charger installation requirement. 

John Mills Electric is also an Approved Contractor of New York's Electric Vehicle Make-Ready Program for the NYSEG, National Grid and RG&E utility jurisdictions. This state-sponsored program is in place to support the development of electric infrastructure and equipment necessary to accommodate an increased deployment of EVs within New York State by reducing the upfront costs of building charging stations for EVs.

Through this EV Make-Ready Program, entities seeking to install or participate in the installation of Level 2 ("L2") and/or Direct Current Fast Charging ("DCFC") chargers can earn incentives that will offset a large portion of, or in some cases, all of the infrastructure costs associated with preparing a site for EV charger installation.
